Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The aim of this work is to promote service-oriented cloud computing architecture into robotics development. Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Cloud Computing have been pushing the blooming of web development by creating a great ecosystem for collaborative development. This work infuses these two concepts into a development of a virtual robotics platform. The cloud-based architecture consists of four main components, namely (1) Central Server, (2) Robot Controller, (3) Service Provider, and (4) Client System. Several Service Provider modules are developed and discussed in this paper. A virtual implementation of a social robot is discussed for the validation of the service-oriented cloud computing architecture in robotics development.
