Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With development of sensor technology, the wide-area distributed sensor network is emerging technology. For a particular type of application such as weather sensing, unpredictable excessive query concentration causes serious availability issues. Although there have been numerous solutions using replication and caching, further enhancement is needed since there replication/caching strategies do not take into account the highly transient popularity. In this paper, we propose an efficient replication algorithm based on geographic location information, considering status of overloaded nodes. Evaluation results show that the algorithm reduced overload duration time nearly three times in comparison with improved path replication.
