Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To support our proposal for suppressing the expansion of the routing table size of routers that form the future Internet, we provide here examples of how to implement routing, multi-homing and ISP services including mail and Web. We also report the specifications of a new IP packet, IPv4-New, that is virtually upward compatible with the IPv4 packet. The future Internet is expected to solve the problem created by the predicted explosion in routing table size, increase the number of IP addresses available to end users, and provide a framework that allows core networks to be incrementally improved and/or re-designed. We show that the core network of the proposed future network can yield an everlay network for mobile services, and/or communication experiments. We feel that the routing table size problem should be handled by the framework of the future Internet.
