Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the medical examination with an endoscope on the medical scene, the automatic polyp detection is aimed to support the manipulation of the endoscope. This paper proposes a method which the polyp is detected using Hessian filter. First, a region with swelling is detected as a polyp candidate region using Hessian filter. Next, color features and edge features are extracted from the polyp candidate, and a polyp is detected by it classify with SVM. The effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed in the experiment using the actual endoscopic images.
