Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | A statistical shape model (SSM) is known to be very effective in segmenting organs. However it is difficult to collect medical images and generate labels of organs manually for training a SSM, resulting in causing a problem of training label shortage. The problem is serious in the case of multiple organ modeling. This study is inspired by a synthesized-based learning and generates many sets of multiple organ shapes artificially by interpolating between two cases with multiple organs. The interpolation method employed here is an extension of a level set morphing originally developed for two shapes. We performed a retraining process of a hierarchical SSM for multiple organs using the generated shape sets. This paper reports the results of applying to modeling of 14 organs/tissues in an abdominal CT volume where 15 cases was used for training a model and 8 cases was for evaluating the performance. |
