Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Rupture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) occurs as a sudden, unheralded event that is lethal in up to 90% of patients. So it is required to clarify the mechanism of formation of AAA. Previously, we proposed a method for analyzing hemodynamics in abdominal aorta with Phase Contrast Magnetic Resonance Angiography (PCMRA), which can measure blood velocity accurately. This method accounts for displacement and deformation of aortic wall which is due to the heart beat. In this paper, we increased the number of subjects to study the reliability and stability of the proposed method. We also investigated what PCMRA protocol can decrease image acquisition time up to acceptable level for practical use.
