Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper reports on attempts to introduce the normal direction at each point on PDM (Point Distribution Model) of organ surfaces. PDM is statistical relative position of adjacent points, and probability variable representing coordinates of points on organ surfaces. In this case, specification of the model is not enough, so the model can be expressed unnatural shapes. To increase specification, we propose a model can be expressed as surface normal direction at each point. When organ surface is smooth, the coordinates of each point can be expected to vary not only the coordinates of adjacent points but also depending on the normal direction. Thus, normal direction to be random variable, build a graphical model by analyzing the conditional independence between those variables. We propose a registration method based on the structure.
