Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Network coding is a different paradigm for sending information, where intermediate nodes produce combinations of incoming packets, rather than storing and forwarding packets one at a time. This new paradigm for transmission can considerably improve throughput and give the network redundancy to withstand the impacts of changing topologies. However, it introduces significant challenges against byzantine nodes, who can introduce bogus packets to pollute the network. In this article, we present a decentralized non-repudiation protocol that in conjunction with existing pollution prevention mechanisms can be used to identify and exclude malicious nodes from the network. To show our proposal is practical, we simulate the performance of our proposal instantiated with several pollution prevention mechanisms.
