Abstract(in English) | Distributed antenna network (DAN), in which a group of multiple antennas are distributed in a cell, can mitigate not only the variations of the local average received signal power due to path loss but also the negative impacts of shadowing and frequency-selective fading. In our previous work, we investigated the performance of the DAN downlink transmission using frequency-domain space-time block coded-joint transmit/receive diversity (FD-STBC-JTRD) and hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ), and showed that the proposed system achieves high throughput performance over the entire cell, even with low transmit power. However, how co-channel interference (CCI) affects the throughput performance of proposed system has not been investigated. In this paper, introducing frequency reuse in a multi-cell environment of the DAN, we evaluate the throughput performance of the downlink DAN in the presence of CCI. Computer simulation results show that the DAN can achieve high outage throughput performance by reducing CCI and realizing universal frequency reuse. |
