Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents the design and performance of fiber-optic cloud mobile communication systems to facilitate smart and broadband distribution networks, which make it possible to provide coordinated multi-point transmission/reception (CoMP) and wireless relaying. The design of Cyclic Prefix (CP) in OFDM signal is discussed to clarify the allowable optical fiber length difference between micro-eNBs. Theoretical CNR performance is described for the two types of optical devices such as FP-LD and DFB-LD. Receiver sensitivity in uplink is pointed out as the overall system performance. Fiber-optic relay node (RN) is also proposed for three types of Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer 3 relaying. The transmitting CNR and the effort for reducing the interference are discussed. Furthermore, we propose new wireless relaying with CRE to extend coverage automatically to heavily shadowed areas.
