Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The eigenspace-BPLP method that restores the damaged images was proposed by Dr.Amano, et al. This method approximates the missing region by eigenspace that spanned with principal component vectors. The result is obscure if restoring it by major principal component vectors. A clear image will be obtained if a minor principal component vector is also used. However, the reconstruction accuracy deteriorates. This paper presents a new restoration method using texture segmentation. The proposed method restores by different eigenspace for each texture region. Do the experiment to verify the validity, and shows the improvement in restoration accuracy if using minor principal component vectors.
