Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the positioning schemes using W-LAN(Wireless-Local Area Network) or UWB (Ultra Wideband) have been discussed. However, these positioning schemes use microwave, so the accuracy of them sometimes degrades because of channel propagation or shadowing. In the other hand, wireless keyless entry systems of vehicles use LF (Low Frequency) magnetic coupling for the positioning scheme. Magnetic coupling is suitable for area detection because of its robustness for channel propagation and rapid distance attenuation. However, these LF antennas placed in vehicles cause system complexity and system cost rising. To solve these problems, we need to reduce the number of LF antennas. In this paper, we propose the positioning scheme which reduces the number of LF antennas from five/six to three using the threshold detection of RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication).
