Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, many experimental results breaking the quantum key distribution (QKD) have been reported. In addition, a serious defect in the quantitative evaluation for QKD has been derived. So we need to reconsider the security claim of QKD and one time pad. In the previous papers, we have explained the examples of the fact that any criterion for the security guarantee so far proposed is not adequate to ensure the security of the QKD itself and one time pad using QKD. This paper gives detailed explanation of inadequacy of the technology of QKD and the related schemes, showing the historical development of the cipher with information theoretic security since Shannon's old theoretical frame. As a result, it is confirmed that the development of one time pad supported by QKD is meaningless. On the other hand, it is pointed out that Y-00 cipher has a potential such that the secret key cannot be pin-downed by the brute force attack on key in comparing with one time pad supported by QKD.
