Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report introduces our proposed human activity sensing systems using radio waves. First we introduce the proposed system based on array signal processing, referred to as array sensor. The array sensor exploits an antenna array on the receiver side and decomposes received signals into eigenvectors and eigenvalues. The array sensor exploits these components depending on its applications. Using machine learning based on these components, the array sensor can classify several complex states and activities. The proposed system can also realize tag-free localization. Second we introduce the proposed human activity sensing and tracking system using Doppler sensor. With single or multiple transmitters and multiple receivers (Doppler sensors), the proposed system can estimate azimuth by using temporal-spatial phase shift that depends on relative velocity and relative position, it can also obtain Doppler spectrum. Using the information, the proposed system can classify human activity and track target. This report introduces the fundamental principles of the proposed systems and their various applications.
