Kalman Filter with Position and Velocity Measurements for Transient Response of Aircraft Tracking

Abstract(in English) At present, in aircraft surveillance radar used by air-traffic controllers, secondary radar is mainly used where not only position information but velocity information also can be acquired as the measurement value through an onboard transponder. By using this velocity information as well as the measurement value, we expect to improve the Kalman filter transient performance for aircraft tracking. Therefore, in this report we compare and evaluate the aircraft tracking transient response performance of a Kalman filter during uniform accelerated motion using position and velocity information as the measurement value.
