Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To improve efficiency and safety of Microendoscopic Discectomy, it is desired to visualize spine and nerves occluded in endoscopic image, and cutting area preoperatively planned. In this paper, we aim to create augmented endoscopic (AE) images that make possible of visualizing spine and nerves occluded by soft tissues. Based on the depth information, the AE images are generated by applying different manners to the rendering process of three regions: the observed plane, forward and backward side from the plane. This presentation reports the results of visualization using experimental models created from patient-specific CT volume data.
