Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is known that the MRS measurement of neonates in quiet sleep show rhythmical variation[0.05-0.1Hz] known as Low frequency oscillations(LFOs)[1,2]. LFOs can be observed from not only neonates but from infants and adults[3-7], however, the mechanism is still unclear[8]. Trace alternant, a distinct brain wave pattern with a high amplitude part (burst) and a low amplitude part (suppression) appearing alternately can be observed in quiet sleep of neonates. The relevance of LFOs and burst is suggested in past studies[9]. In this study brain waves and NIRS are measured simultaneously, and arithmetic mean is performed based on the position of the maximum amplitude of burst. The relevance of LFOs and burst was confirmed by evaluating the variation of LFOs phase.
