Abstract(in English) | Cross infection associated medical equipments is an important problem about the healthcare associate infection. For protection against the cross infection outbreak, the surface of medical equipments is wiped by many disinfectants at before and after when it was used. On the other hand, the wiping by disinfectants over and over caused the damage of surface, and it has been also anxious that the surface damage promotes a cross infection risk. In this present paper, the ability of cross infection due to repeat disinfectants wiping were tested by ATP measurement assay. A repeated disinfectants wiping promoted markedly changes on the surface of medical materials like as Acrylic board, but the amount of bacteria did not increase closely related in surface changes. These results indicated that the surface change of medical equipment by repeated disinfectant wiping did not promote the cross infection directly. |
