Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An arrhythmia detection system using antidictionary coding has been proposed, and the system has the advantage of real-time precessing and small computational memory. The system compresses electrocardiogram (ECG) by means of a probabilistic model which is constructed from an antidictionary of Normal Sinus Rhythms (NSRs), called training data, of the input ECG. Moreover, the system classifies an ECG wave into a normal or an abnormal wave by means of its compression rate and a given threshold value. However, in the preprocessing, the system must select a proper pair of training data and threshold value in all possible subsets of NSRs and threshold values to obtain good detection results. Therefore, the preprocessing requires large computational time. To reduce the computational time, we propose a fast automatic preprocessing method to determine the pair of training data and threshold value. In out experimental results, the proposed method achieved sensitivity 96.8% and specificity 94.4% for premature ventricular contranction.
