Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Passive-matrix driven organic light-emitting display(PM-OLED) has the problems of short lifetime and low emission efficiency due to a small duty ratio which decreases with increasing the resolution and the panel size.In order to solve them, we adapted a fixed-codeword-length coding multi-line addressing which can reduce the peak-current by fixing the number of scanning lines selected simultaneously, by restricting the bit-number of input signal and by coding the selection pattern. The image quality obtained by this driving method and the power consumption required for this drive are evaluated by an actual panel.
