Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have developed an STM-SQUID microscope, in which we combined a scanning tunneling microscope (STM) and a SQUID probe microscope, in order to improve the magnetic resolution. We have applied SQUID magnetometer to the STM-SQUID microscope so far. In this study, we newly proposed to apply the RF-SQUID gradiometer to it in order to reduce the environmental noise. We fabricated and evaluated the gradiometer device, and then simulated the optimum combination of the gradiometer and the probes for the STM-SQUID microscope.
