Abstract(in English) It is known that a bottom of can distend due to rising the internal pressure of the can with the rot of the canned food and drink. In this research, for detecting the rot, we measured the bottom shapes with different internal pressure by using millimeter-wave imaging technique. The antenna with collecting lens was prepared to get the sufficient spatial resolution for the size of the can. First, the measurement system was decided by analyzed results of the electrical field strength and focus point in the case of that two lenses arranged in front of a waveguide as an antenna. Next, the reflection phase characteristics from the bottom of the cans were measured using this measurement system. The dimensional change of the bottom with different internal pressure was detected about 0.5 mm. This method will be able to apply detecting the rot of canned food and drink.
