Electro-optic Bragg deflection modulator using periodically poled MgO:LiNbO_3

Abstract(in English) For realization of laser-beam lithography and display systems, we propose an one-dimensional spatial light modulator consisting of electro-optic Bragg deflection modulators using periodically poled MgO:LiNbO_3 for the first time. It was found that annealing the device after the poling process was effective for reducing the relaxation phenomena. The maximum diffraction efficiency as high as 97% was obtained for the violet-blue light. Also, the modulation of the UV light was accomplished.
