Abstract(in English) In order to enhance the universality for various types of wireless services and the flexibility for non-uniform traffic distribution and user mobility, we have proposed RoF-DAS over WDM-PON, which is a distributed antenna system provided by the optical fiber access network using RoF technologies and WDM-PON technologies. In the proposed system, we employ MIMO technologies for high throughput wireless transmission, and the radio cell configuration of the distributed antenna system (DAS) will be determined by not only the topology of WDM-PON but the achieved throughput, which depends on the number of antennas in a cell. This paper investigates the channel capacity for four types of radio cell configurations determined by the number of antennas in a cell by use of theoretical analysis and computer simulation. The results reveal the relationship between the channel capacity and the CNR of antenna output signal constrained by RoF link performance.
