Spatial Measurement Based Radio Environment Database Using Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radio

Abstract(in English) In this paper, the authors propose a radio environment database (RED: radio environment database) to provide the estimated primary user (PU: Primary User) received signal power information of a certain location to the secondary user (SU: Secondary User). The RED accumulates the radio wave information which are observed by numerous number of measurement nodes, and conducts the statistical operation on them. Then RED provides the SU the statistical average of PU received signal power of the location and the estimated primary signal which confirms the protection of the outage probability. However, to store all the spatial information into the RED, results to the enormous amount of RED information. Therefore, we propose the construction of a quantized spatial information based RED, in which the RED conducts the statistical operation in quantized block. Through the simulation results, we investigate the validity of our proposal by evaluating the quantized optimal block size by which the RED information can be reduced but the accuracy is kept over a certain amount.
