Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This manuscript considers a secondary system sharing the spectrum with the primary system at the same time and frequency. The proposed overlay system relays the primary signal and overlays its own data on it. In this system, a symbol error rate performance of the secondary system degrades because the relayed primary signal interferes with the secondary receiver. In this manuscript, we propose a symbol mapping scheme for the secondary transmitter. The proposed mapper calculates a point of the secondary symbol using the relayed primary symbol. The result of the analysis for a simplex AWGN environment shows that the proposed scheme allows the secondary signal to communicate at the high power without harming the primary system.
