Abstract(in English) | In next generation mobile communication systems, single carrier (SC) system with low peak to average power ratio (PAPR) is adapted for uplink communications which need high power output for wide coverage. SC modulation with frequency domain equalization (FDE) make compensation for propagation path distortion. In SC-FDE system, channel function is estimated to compute equalization weight. We consider to use channel function for channel selection. The sinking point of channel function is useful to find low bit error ratio (BER) channel. In this paper, we evaluated BER performance with considering channel function with deep depression below the noise power. Since a depth of sinking point of channel function relates noise increment by Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) equalization, deep depression of channel function causes degradation on BER performance. By considering both average power and the sinking point of channel function, we can select a lower BER channel than considering only average power. |
