Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, display terminals of various sizes have been used as video monitors. The most suitable viewing distance for watching video contents depends on the size and thus may influence the user's satisfaction to the video streaming service. This paper proposes an efficient video content delivery method using psychological effects in visual perception aiming at reducing network bandwidth. Concretely, the minimum video coding parameters, namely, "color depth and frame rate" by which the user does not recognize the quality deterioration of the content in a viewing distance will be clarified. In addition, the effectiveness of the proposed method will be discussed by estimating the reduced network bandwidth.
