Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With the increase of information through the Internet, the information itself has become more valuable day by day. However, it is bothersome for ordinary users to obtain network-independent local information since the users have to frequently manipulate their devices to get all the information. On the other hand, it is costly for information providers to set up several types of information resources for the same information due to the different client environments. Ideally, each information provider wants to provide the users with information by just preparing its own information and communication infrastructure. But it annoys the users because each provider's network does not have the connections to the others, therefore the users cannot gather the information effectively. In this paper, an autonomous network switchover mechanism using mobile agents will be proposed in order to solve the aforementioned issues. In addition, an efficient information gathering system in WLANs will also be proposed and its feasibility will be evaluated by simulation.
