Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Resilient FTTH architecture with a cable-route protection function is proposed. The ladder network based on hybrid WDM/TDM-PON introduces duplicated routes of the shared portions of PON by adding a few optical fiber and cable routes on existing networks. In our simulation, network capacities of 1.25 Gb/s x 500 ONUs/sys and 10 Gb/s x 64 ONUs/sys are attained by applying 48 and 16 WDMs, respectively. These results show sufficient scalability compared to conventional TDM-PON.
