Abstract(in English) This paper described a novel measurement technique designed to check for optical filters in branched optical fiber regions in PONs with optical splitters. We proposed a new function for use during construction work when installing new optical fiber lines for service in PON. We demonstrated that the presence of optical filters can be determined both theoretically and experimentally. By employing the local-light coupling technique, we improve the workability for construction work and the dynamic range in this measurement method.
