Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The demand for capacity in the telecommunications industry, due to diverse applications such as voice, video streaming has placed challenges on high-density optical modules and components. With this background, we set out to increase the density of optical connectors simply and economically, completing the development of the field-installable fusion-splice multi-mode ribbon fiber MPO connector. Following up, we have developed variations for single mode fiber type, fiber cord type and assembly tools, and report our findings for these variations.
