Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ayrton equation is famous for an expression of arc V-I characteristics. Guye and Zebrikoff studied the Ayrton constants for some metallic arcs. They determined the constants by using experimental data between a few amperes and twenty amperes. The author have measured V-I characteristics of arcs below several amperes. He is interested in whether the two experimental measurements are consistent with each other and compared them. As a result, 0 mm arcs are in good agreement but 1 mm arcs are different by about 10 volts.
