Abstract(in English) This paper describes the way to overcome the weakness of Reed-Solomon (RS) codes such as no ability of bitwise error correction using permutation soft decision decoder. In this study the automorphism groups of RS binary images with 3 parity symbols are investigated. Based on these results, we propose a novel soft decision decoding algorithm for (n,n - 3,4) RS codes. Simulation results show that our method for (31,28,4) RS code outperforms the conventional hard decision decoder of the same RS code by approximately 2.5 order at a Signal to Noise ratio of 7dB.
