Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, ad hoc sensor networks become an important technique where it is hard to deploy normal network infrastructure. However the open nature of the wireless communication make them vulnerabile to various security attacks. Wormhole attack is one of the most serious attacks against ad hoc sensor network. By employing long distance link called as 'wormhole', attacker arranges routing path and takes illegal actions such as data corruption and eavesdropping over communications. It is difficult to detect wormhole attacks, because wormholes are created with regular routing procedure. In this paper we have noticed on the cost of a method of wormhole detection, which detect inconsistency in the distance between nodes by using location information, and we have studied on the relation of the detectability of wormhole and the cost of location information for networks with static nodes and networks with mobile nodes.
