Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As the Internet grows, network attacks by malicious clients and botnets are increasing. So, we should protect our own network from attackers by using IDS or IPS which would detect illegal accesses. In this paper, we propose a network scan detection algorithm which sets on individual dynamic threshold per source host. Via simulation, we compare the performance of the proposed algorithm with others. The result shows that the proposed algorithm can achieve higher detection rate than other algorithms.
