Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a novel VoIP phone service with 3D audio. To apply 3D audio to a VoIP phone service gives users more feeling of being at a live communication than legacy phone services. However, since an IP network is a best-effort one, we must consider the effect of communication degradation of the IP network on the VoIP phone service with 3D audio. This paper evaluates the effect of a speech coding IP packet loss on user' s ability of sound localization by experiment.
