Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It has been shown that we can perceive depth of objects from motion parallax, the change of retinal image concomitant with head movement. In this research, we examined whether brightness change of object concomitant with head movement influenced depth perception. We presented subjects the stimuli with changing texture only, with changing luminance only and changing texture and luminance concomitant with head movement and measured the perceived slant of the stimuli. The results indicate that brightness change with head movement contributed to depth perception of objects.
