A Study of Circularly Polarized Printed Loop Antenna with Reflector

Abstract(in English) Recently, there are the access control management, inventory control, goods management of the apparel business, etc. As RFID application of the physical distribution which uses a noncontact IC card, a wireless IC tags. The use of the integral-type RFID leader writer equipment of HF band for NFC (Near Field Communication) and UHF band for Gen2 (Generation 2) has spread. The spread of the Reader equipment of a passive & active system will be expected by frequency band shift of 920 MHz by Revision of the Radio Law in 2012. As for the antenna to use with reader/writer of RFID, There are the print coil antenna for the HF band of 13.56MHz, and a dipole antenna or patch antennas, for the UHF band, and microwave band. A multiband antenna and the wider bandwidth are needed according to each usage. This report investigates circularly polarized printed loop antenna with reflector for reader antenna of RFID including HF band antenna by the FDTD method, the method of moment (MoM) and measurements.
