Development of an Essential Segment Identification method for Reading English Paper in Educational Technology Field

Abstract(in English) Engineering major students, are not good at reading English, are difficult to efficiently read papers in English. In our study, we have developed a teaching method and a supporting system to facilitate such students to improve their reading ability. In this paper, we propose an Essential Segment Identification method for reading English paper in educational technology field. The method is that a reader can think the first segment as an important part of the paper, and is based on results of an analysis in which three good readers extracted important keywords form nine papers.
