Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In 2006, WHO (World Health Organization) recommended the necessity of dosimetry evaluation for children and pregnant women for radio-wave exposure as one of most primary research subjects, which has significantly promoted the studies on whole-body-average specific absorption rates (WBA-SARs) in various kinds of anatomical based models. For experimental validation of GHz-band WBA-SARs in a real human, however, there have not so far been any publication papers, despite the fact that Hill measured in 1982 WBA-SARs at frequencies less than 40 MHz in human volunteers using a TEM-cell exposure system. We previously measured GHZ-band WBA-SARs in an adult volunteer inside a reverberation chamber, and confirmed that the measured results approximately agree with the FDTD calculated ones. In this study, we calculated WBA-SARs at frequencies of 1 GHz, 1.5 GHz and 2 GHz in a 3-years model inside the same reverberation chamber. As a result, we found that these WBA- SARs become 70 % larger than those in a 22-years model, though far-field exposure from frontal irradiation provides GHz-band WBA-SARs in a 3-years model by 42-47 % larger than that in a 22-years model.
