Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors have been established the reliability evaluation methods using actual outage data of telecommunication networks systematically. In particular, "R", a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics, is important to analyze outage data efficiently. As for the maintainability, that evaluates the facility in maintenance, the authors proposed the capability of computation based on parametric estimation of statistical models for the time to repair distribution. In the case of non-parametric estimation, the authors proposed the evaluation method of maintainability using kernel density with variable bandwidth. With this proposal, the result approximately conform to the parametric evaluation. In this paper, the authors propose a new method of non-parametric estimation of maintainability for telecommunication networks. The key of our proposal is to replace the kernel function, prevailing normal density, with lognormal density. The strength of our proposal is shown over the numerical test and the analysis using actual field data.
