Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, sub-spectrum suppressed transmission is introduced to achieve highly efficient satellite communication system. Single-carrier modulated signal is directly divided into sub-spectra by direct spectrum division (DSD) technique and some sub-spectra are suppressed at the transmitter in order to reduce total occupied bandwidth. At the receiver proposed iterative spectrum equalization processing using sub-spectrum replica, generated from temporarily decoded binary, can improve performance degradation due to ISI (Inter Symbol Interference) caused by sub-spectrum suppression. However, when there are several combinations of MCS (Modulation and Coding Scheme) that is combination of modulation order and coding rate, to achieve same transmission bit rate, the optimized MCS for the proposed spectrum equalization is not clarified yet. In this paper, based on computer simulation, we evaluate the tradeoff between equalization gain and degradation due to ISI and clarify optimized MCS for our proposal.
