Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a technique for ensuring the reliability of the softcore processor which implemented with SRAM-based Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). Although FPGA is susceptible to soft-error, FPGA can clear these errors due to its reconfigurability. We present, in this paper, the faster fault recovery technique for the duplicated softcore processor. The conventional duplicated circuit cannot identify the faluty circuit which was attacked by SEU. Our technique identifies the faulty processor by partial readback, and repair it by frame-based reconfiguration. As a result of our work, we reduce about 75 % of the recovery time from the recovery technique using full reconfiguration.
