Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an automatic detection and tracking method for moving objects. In the proposed method, a fixed camera and PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras are used for surveillance. The fixed camera detects the moving objects by using MHI (Motion-History-Image) and the PTZ camera tracks them. In the tracking, the objects are captured in the center of the image by using the location which the fixed camera transmits. In addition, the relationship between the coordinates systems of the fixed and PTZ cameras can be found automatically. The experimental result indicates that the PTZ camera can observe a moving object detected by a fixed camera.
