High-accuracy 3D Reconstruction and Image Stitching for High-speed Book Digitalization System with Multi-view Simultaneous Imaging

Abstract(in English) Digitization of documents recently has become an important technology. In order to meet this demand, it is promising technique to observe the document by multiple cameras and integrate those different-view images. However, the high-accuracy integration is required because the paper of the document is not flat and the image resolution is high. In addition, in our research, we target the goal to scan large stack of paper while the continuous page flipping action and digitize all of the pages at high speed and high definition. Based on this background, this paper proposes a method to achieve the high-accuracy three-dimensional deformation estimation and high-definition correction of the distorted document image for the system configuration in which multiple high-speed cameras are arranged with small overlapped captured areas. The experimental result shows the corrected document image from the 4-different views.
