Abstract(in English) | Animal cells are genetically engineered to express photosensitive functional proteins and their functions can be optically manipulated. This new technique, optogenetics, recently drives the innovative progress in the brain science and neuroscience. However, the transdisciplinary collaboration with fields such as optoelectronics would be necessary for the further progress. |
