| Abstract(in English) | An on-line distribution trial of an international conference was successfully done using the cloud-based general purpose e-Learning system WebELS. In this report the objective, outline, results and issues for further research are discussed. A distance education including distance lecture and distance meeting in a global situation is a central pillar in a higher education, especially in a Ph.D education in Science and Technology. In the SSB project of the SATREPS international collaboration activities an Internet-based distance education as well as distance meeting is planned to establish for the collaboration between Japan and Algeria. The on-line distribution of the AASEF conference was tried in last August in this framework. A trial of creating an self learning content in a Flash-based streaming from the recorded video and presentation document in pdf was successfully done as well. The WebELS software which was revised through these trials will be distributed as an open-source for a global use. |
