Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose an encoding scheme for multiple-valued two-color data representation with open-wire fault detectability in bidirectional asynchronous links. Correct signal states are detected by using the summation of current signals in a data transmission based on multiple-valued encoding. Therefore, by using proposed "Complementary Encoding" based data representation, a data transmission is always stopped when there is any open-wire fault in the link. As a result, open-wire fault can be detected. In this paper, mathematical proof of open-wire fault detectability by using proposed encoding is discussed. Furthermore, as a simple application, an asynchronous bidirectional link based on proposed encoding is demonstrated.
