Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The goal of this paper is that how to estimate the energy consumption of LSI system accurately with the high simulation speed. For the high simulation speed, we estimate the energy consumption within the high level abstraction ISS (instruction set simulation) which runs the program with the use of power database. For the high estimation accuracy, we consider the energy consumption of input data values of data path and the sequence of instructions. Our experiments run on the generic processor and the result shows that the average error is 5.7% which is 3.2 times lower than that of the existing methods. Our future work is the energy consumption estimation of LSI system with high speed and high accuracy with the method we have proposed.
